Terms of Service
These terms apply when you create an account or send events to Kanca. They are short on purpose. By using Kanca you agree to them.
01The service
Kanca (kanca.onurhan.dev) is an observability service for developers of ikas apps, operated by Onurhan Demir, an individual. Your app sends operational metadata (webhook deliveries, Admin API calls, installs and uninstalls, admin web vitals, storefront script errors and timings) through the @kanca-app/ikas SDK, and Kanca shows it in a dashboard and can post alerts to Slack or Discord.
02Free, beta, as is
Kanca is free to use.
Kanca is in beta and provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. It may have bugs, downtime or data loss, and numbers may be wrong. Don't rely on it as the only way you learn that your app is failing.
03Your account and keys
- Give a real email address, and keep your password and sign-in methods secure.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account and for your API keys. Keep server keys (
kk_) on your server; only public keys (kp_) belong in a browser. - If a key leaks, revoke it in your project's Settings and create a new one.
04Acceptable use
You agree to:
- send only the operational metadata the SDK and ingest protocol define, and never webhook payloads, customer or order data, other personal data, tokens or secrets, including in free-text fields like error messages, names and attributes;
- use Kanca to monitor ikas apps you build or operate, not to store or send unrelated data;
- not overload, probe or abuse the ingest endpoints or the dashboard, work around rate limits, or access other people's projects;
- not use Kanca, or the alert channels, for spam or anything unlawful.
05Your data
What your app sends stays yours. You let us store and process it only to run Kanca for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. For that data you are the controller and Kanca is your processor, so you are responsible for having a basis to send it and for telling the merchants who use your app where needed.
06The SDK
The @kanca-app/ikas SDK is open source under the MIT license. That license, not these terms, governs the SDK code itself; these terms govern the hosted service it sends to.
07Changes and suspension
We may change, add or remove features, change limits, or stop offering Kanca. We may suspend or remove accounts, projects or keys that break these terms or put the service or other users at risk, where possible after telling you.
08Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Kanca and its operator are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or losses caused by downtime, wrong numbers or missed or late alerts. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
09Ending your use
You can stop using Kanca at any time. Deleting a project in Settings deactivates it: it is hidden and its keys stop working, and its data is kept until you ask us to delete it. To have a project or your whole account permanently deleted, email onurhandtr@gmail.com from your account's address; we delete it within 30 days and reply to confirm. The Privacy Policy has the details.
10Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we update this page and the date at the top. If you keep using Kanca after a change, the new terms apply.
